Liwa Desert Safari - The Empty Quater
Your trip begins with a comfortable transfer from Abu Dhabi. As you start driving towards Liwa, the scenery gradually changes from small dunes to massive rolling sand formations. Once you reach the desert, your driver begins deep desert dune bashing, a longer and more powerful off-road experience compared to the standard Abu Dhabi desert tours. The Liwa dunes are higher, steeper, and more open — making the adventure a lot more exciting.
There will be several stops for photos, sand walking, and exploring the high dunes. You will also get time to enjoy the quiet of the desert, take pictures with the wide horizon, and appreciate the scale of the Empty Quarter.
Depending on your package, your safari continues to a traditional desert camp, where you can relax and enjoy local touches such as Arabic coffee, dates, and tea. If the tour is scheduled for evening, you will be able to watch the sunset in Liwa, which is one of the most stunning sunset views in the UAE — the desert lights up in orange and gold.
Dinner includes a fresh BBQ meal with salads and side dishes. After dinner, you can sit back under the open sky and enjoy the silence and stars — Liwa is far away from the city lights, making the night sky incredibly clear.
